Brief History
The concept for the Humidiflyer mask was developed by New Zealander Paul Aberhart, who, as an international flight attendant with Air New Zealand, noticed the negative effects of the dry air in the plane's cabin on himself and his colleagues. Aberhart describes how, during breaks, flight attendants would place wet towels over their faces in an attempt to combat the effects of dehydration they experienced after the flights, including sinus problems and jet lag.
Humidiflyer masks have been used by the All Blacks on international flights, along with other items such as compression clothing, to limit the effects of jet lag on the team after long haul flights.
