Description
Commemorative Medal from South Korean State Visit to New Zealand in September 1968. One of several given by President of the Republic of Korea Park Chung-Hee to New Zealand Public Service Garage staff who drove the party during the State Visit.
Medal: Circular metal medal with upper face depicting image of Park Chung-Hee and text "PARK CHUNG HEE / PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF KOREA". Reverse side features design of pheasants and text "IN MEMORY OF / THE STATE VISIT / TO / NEW ZEALAND / SEPT.19,1968".
In black rectangular presentation box with gold coloured metal design on top featuring phesants and flower. Box has hinged lid at back, inside of lid is lined in white silk, while base is lined in red felt with circular impression for holding Medal.
