Description

Manuscript and ephemera collection relating to the story of New Zealanders Ivan and Beth Hodge as they travelled from London to Sydney in 1961 in their Volkswagen Beetle. The Hodges repeated this trip in 1996 and subsequently donated the Beetle automobile and archive to MOTAT in 2017. The archive includes the owner's manual, service records, Volkswagen ephemera and other items sundry collected during the first trip such as route guides prepared by the AA.
Date made reflects range of years items were created.
