Description
Fibreglass and resin mould for casting central car tunnel. Long mould with rectangular central hollow with two wings extending perpendicular from central body at one end. Mould supported by steel bracing around central hollow and wings. Grey fibreglass residue on outside. One wooden chock still attached to one wing, possibly from original plug.Part of set of black resin (interior) and grey fibreglass (exterior) moulds used to fabricate the exterior body and interior components of the Heron MJ1Sportscar in 1980. The moulds were made from wooden "plugs" that formed the basic outline of the vehicle. The moulds were made and designed by Heron vehicle designer Ross Baker in 1980.
