Description
Black and white photographic print of a large group awaiting the arrival of Captain John Hood and Lieutenant John R Moncrieff first Trans Tasman flight at Trentham racecourse, Wellington on 10 January 1928. The aircraft (Ryan B-5 Brougham) was never found.

Within crowd includes wives of Hood and Moncrieff, Laura Hood and Dorothy Moncrieff and photographers.
