Description
Black oilskin raincoat. Black and green label reads "A GENUINE / Eidex / PARKA / FROM / SUPERFINE LIGHTWEIGHT / JAPARA / DESIGNED AND MANUFACTURED BY / EIDE & CO. LTD. Wanganui / NEW ZEALAND / Size / M". "82/0930" and 9C" have been written in ink on the label. [Note that these are the same accession numbers as 1982.930.3]. Plain black lining. Full length front zip with five stud closings. Drawstrings at waist (internal) and at hood. Single stud closings on each cuff. One patch pocket with pointed flap on each side at front. Three two cent coins dated 1967, 1972 and 1974 were found in one pocket of the jacket. Rip in side seam at left (may have been intentionally ade to give access to pants pockets underneath). Sort 'cape' extends at front and back,fastened with one button at each corner. Four (two on each side) rivetted 'holes' under cape at back for ventilation. Similar rivetted 'holes' - two on each side - under arms.
