Description
Gene technology is used to develop drugs, assist export markets (e.g.; Kiwi fruit) and forestry. There have been advancements in gene technology over the past decade (dated from creation of film). Moreover, gene technology is the ability to analyse DNA and join DNA fragments together to study the structure of proteins and determine their amino acid sequence and apply this research to the diagnostic work of infection and human disease. Similar techniques are used to modify genes and DNA in other fields in the plant and animal kingdom.
