Description

Scrapbook of newspaper clippings from approx. June 1932 - Nov 1933, in rough chronological order. Compiled, annotated and hand-coloured by a teenage Wallace Penman, an avid aviation fan, in his father's (Ray Penman) old Mangere general store ledger book. Page 113 has souvenir ticket from flight in monoplane Charles Kingsford-Smith's "Southern Cross" during its 1933 visit.
