Description
Coffee percolator, electric 230V/600 Watts, type ECP. Chrome exterior slightly pitted. The percolator consists of a the main kettle with a black bakelite handle. Inside is a brass unit with a long tube. A filter sits around the tube. A chromium and glass topped lid sits on top of the kettle. There is provision for a power cord to be plugged in. The cord is missing.
Brief History
Ultimate-Ekco manufactured small domestic products from its central Auckland factory. This coffee percolator dates to 1959 when Ultimate-Ekco launched it as a new product. It features a solid copper body, a removable aluminium coffee basket, an enclosed plug and a heat-resistant glass top on the lid. Inside the base of the jug is a covered element which heats the water. The Percolator is finished in shiny chromium.
