Description
Triangular royal blue felt pennant. There is a coat of arms on the left which reads "SQUADRON / 31 31/ ROYAL NEW ZEALAND / AIR FORCE / - KIA MATAARA -". The writing is in a light blue circle border, the Maori text is in a brown banner below. In the centre of the circle is a green hei tiki design with two weapons against a white background. There is a crown at the top, with green foliage decorations, and a red floral design. To the right is printed "31 SQUADRON" in a blue and white ombre effect. The back of the pennant is blank and there are no maker's marks. The widest edge of the pennant has been folded over and sewn, and there are loops at the top and bottom for hanging.
