Telecom Phone Card presentation booklet. A5 sized phone card booklet containing two PhoneCards, each with $20 amounts.

The front of the booklet presents a 945 Steam Train in the foreground with mountains in the background. The Telecom logo is printed in the top right corner, and the text, “OFFICIAL / COLLECTOR ISSUE / 600 / SETS ONLY”, is printed in the top right corner. The heading, “THE AGE OF / STEAM IN / NEW ZEALAND" is printed at the top in red letters outlined in white. “Limited Edition / 1998”, is printed within a gold oval overlapping the text, “1998”. Beneath this is the text, “PRESENTATION PACK”, printed in white.

On the reverse of the booklet is a vertical section with a red background and has the Telecom logo printed at the top with the text, “PhoneCard™” underlined underneath. Below this is the text, “TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS / […]”, which provides more information on the PhoneCards.

On the interior, the first page has a red background and a white square border. The page is headed with the text, “THE AGE OF STEAM IN NEW ZEALAND”. Beneath this is the same gold oval from the front page with the text, “Limited Edition / 1998”, overlapping “1998”. Beneath this is the text, “PRESENTATION PACK / […]”, printed in white providing further information on steam locomotives.

On the second page of the interior has a white background with text on the left-hand side of the page, “KA class, No. 945 / […] / $20 GST inc PHONECARD”, as well as, “JA class, No. 1271 / […] / $20 GST inc / PHONECARD”. Next to each section of text is a cut out which holds the two PhoneCards.

The top PhoneCard depicts a photo of the No. 945 train and has the Telecom logo in the top right corner, and the text, “$20 GST / INC. / PHONECARD ™”, in the top left corner. A gold arrow on the left side points to the left. Below this is a gold oval with the text, “Limited Edition” overlapping the text, “1998”. On the reverse of the card is the barcode, “ADCD206356”, next to this is the letter, “B”. Beneath this is the text, “KA class, No. 945. The first KA class built in New Zealand, / 945 was photographed by Reid McNaught as it blasted / up grade into Wairouru on 8 May, 1994.”. Below this is the text, “Telecom PhoneCard™ Collector Service – 0800 508 805 / Telecom New Zealand Limited / Services charged using this card are subject to the Telecom Contract / for Telecom Network service available at our normal place of business / http://www.telecom-phonecards.co.nz
