Description
Moffat Fiesta oven. Upright benchtop unit with four stovetop elements on sliding retractable drawer. Above this is the oven itself with a hinged glass door with metal handle. There is a white printed design spanning the width of the door, with “fiesta” is printed on the left. The oven has two internal racks.
On the right of the top section of the oven is a clock in a rectangular frame. Numerals “12”, “3”, “6” and “9” are spaced around the clock. There is an adjustment knob in the centre and three hands: one red, two black. Inside this is a dial with a scale from 0-60 in increments of 10. “OFF” is positioned under the “12”. To the left of this clock are two smaller clocks. One has “START” in vertical text to its left, and the one below reads “STOP". “OVEN” is printed between the two. Both clocks have an adjustment knob and one hand each. Below this are five knobs for managing the temperature of the oven and elements. The top knob reads: “OVEN / GRILL OFF / BAKE” with a dial measuring in increments from 1 to 5. There are two indicator lights on either side of the knob, one reads “BAKE”, the other “GRILL”. Below this are two adjustment knobs which relate to the “REAR”. They both read “OFF / ON / FULL” with a dial measuring in increments from 1 to 4. Underneath are two more adjustment knobs, which relate to the “FRONT”. These both also have dials with the same inscriptions as above. “MOFFAT CANADA” is printed at the bottom of this panel. On the bottom part of the oven below the panel are two white plastic switches with a square baseplate. They both read “OFF / ON”.

Kia ora Josh, thank you for your comment. Wonderful to hear your example is working. MOTAT’s focus on technology, including more recent and contemporary technology, does mean that objects in the MOTAT collection do not always fit neatly into what might popularly be considered an ‘antique’ box. Best of luck.

Likewise, have one of these in working condition for sale.

Hi Anne-Marie, I will send you a message directly, thank you.

We have one of these ovens, in perfect working condition too. We are thinking of selling and wondered if an antique dealer would be interested given MOTAT has one?

My sister sent me the link to this - it was our father, James Lindop, who owned this oven! He loved it and could never be persuaded to update/upgrade his oven because he was adamant that it was perfect for his needs and that nothing else could possibly fit in that space - we thought the space factor was highly debatable but who were we to argue. He produced many incredible meals using that oven and cooked a fair few interesting creations of his very own too. Seeing this oven makes me both happy and sad.
