Description
"One gets the impression that, to Prices, nothing in the general engineering field is impossible (well, almost nothing).
The reader will note that although Prices have establishments in other centres, notably Auckland, and although the works is but part of a much larger group, this book concentrates entirely on the Thames works...
All it means is that in the author's opinion the Thames works is indeed unique, a separate entity in spite of mergers, and a part of the nation's history, as well as being a viable, well-equipped and indeed vital part of the nation's infrastructure.
As such, it is surely worthy of the attention this modest book can focus on it... and indeed much more." - introduction
