Description

Black and white photographic print mounted onto board of Frankham Te Puna Sawmill in operation. Print is landscape and shows timber yard in foreground with steam issuing from boiler. Frankham Mill was steam driven and operated from 1948 - December 17th 1971. The original steam engine that powered the mill is currently on display in MOTAT's Pumphouse.
