Description

Digital files copied and edited from original footage on 8mm reel. Moving imagery which shows MOTAT's Sunderland NZ4115 in service for the Royal New Zealand Air Force alongside other Sunderland seaplanes in the fleet, flying in formation. Flew in formation to commemorate the withdrawal of the flying boat base in Fiji when Sunderlands were replaced by Lockheed P-3 Orion types. Shows RNZAF Laucala Bay base, Sunderland hangar, take-off, landing, flying over Fiji, and locals attending the occasion. Several shots of MOTAT's Sunderland 'Queenie' in air.
