"In continuation of its efforts to provide comforts and amenities for men in the Navy, Army, and Air Force in New Zealand and overseas, the National Patriotic Fund Board submits the following information and suggestions to the next-of-kin and friends of men in the armed forces, not only to offer a fuller understanding of the work carried out by the recognised comforts organisations throughout New Zealand, but also to give a guide as to the most suitable types of gifts to be sent overseas, and how gifts and parcels should be packed so that they will reach their destination in the best possible condition." - page 3
