Description
Black wool. An Auckland Transport Board uniform jacket worn by staff on the Tramways and Buses. This uniform jacket with 4 buttons (all missing), red cross/star and two red stripes on left sleeve. These represent the length of service of the owner. In this case the owner had at least 25 years of service with the Auckland Transport Board. There are two flap pockets with a single silver button on each.

Auckland Transport Board tunic used on trams and buses from the late 1940s until 1964. 15 years long service red star on sleeve and two five years bars, so the wearer had at least 25 years service with the Auckland Transport Board
