Description
Victory bell, cast in metal from German aircraft 1939-1945. Design features signature of Sir Keith Park and heads of important WWII individuals such as Winstone Churchill. Attached sign describes object: 'Cast in metal from German aircraft shot down over Britain 1939 - 1945. This bell was cast by WWII Battle of Britain Ace, Squadron Leader R. Stanford-Tuck, and personally signed by Air Chief Marshall Sir Keith Park. This bell is one of six cast & signed Royal Airforce wartime commanders. Presented to MOTAT by the General Accident Group (New Zealand)'.
