Gas turbine engine performance calculator for Pratt & Whitney JT3D-1,-3,-3B/DC-8 engines.
Part 1: The calculator is housed in a blue plastic sleeve. Printed in black and gold is the Pratt & Whitney logo of an eagle with the text, "PRATT & WHITNEY AIRCRAFT / DEPENDABLE ENGINES". Below this printed in gold is, "GAS TURBINE ENBGINE / PERFORMANCE CALCULATOR / Pratt & Whitney Aircraft / U / DIVISION OF UNITED AIRCRAFT CORPORATION / A". The front of the sleeve is covered in clear plastic. At the bottom left corner is a white sticker with black text, "M5 / PRA/GAS".
Part 2: The calculator is a circular slide rule constructed of plastic consisting of tear-drop shaped base with three transparent spinners on top. The Pratt & Whitney logo is printed on one of the spinners. Printed in black is the text, "JT3D-1,-3,-3B/DC-8 / GAS TRUBINE ENGINE / PERFORMANCE CALCULATOR / FLIGHT OPERATIONS ENGINEERING / PART NO. PWA 644218". The spinners are attached with a screw.
Part 3: Square instruction card. Printed in black is the text, "JT3D-1,-3,-3B/DC-8 / FLOE 27-218C / GAS TURBINE ENGINE PERFORMANCE CALCULATOR / INSTRUCTIONS / [...]".
