Description
Respiratory Hood Prototype, adult sized.
Circular in shape, the ventilator hood is formed by a large blue silicone neck seal, attached to a white plastic frame. The text "WATERPROOF / WATERPROOF / WP Silicone NeckSeal TM" is embossed around the neck seal. The patient's head can be inserted through the seal into a transparent, plastic hood. At the front of the hood is a large white free-breathing valve which allows for two-way breathing if the inlet air supply is interrupted. This is capped with a small white balloon. On either side of the valve are four ports which are used for probes or catheters. Two have white and green inserts to seal the valves.
