Brief History
Made from muka, prepared from harakeke (flax) fibre, a Pito (umbilical cord) Tie provides a natural alternative to the plastic umbilical cord clamps used on new-born pēpi (babies). Antiseptic properties in the harakeke are believed to aid in healing the pito stump left after the cord is cut.
