AVI video file, original file name 2.2.2012 013 avi. Video shows application of an ‘Aluminium Polyester’ abradable coating to the Compressor Front Shroud from a Rolls Royce M250, Model C30, turbine engine by ABB IRB6 robot at Aerospace Thermal Coatings Ltd. The process being used is ‘Air Plasma Spray’. This coating, being relatively soft, is then machined to the required profile in a CNC lathe.
