Description
First day envelope with an illustration on the front showing two men (presumably Edmund Hillary and Vivian Fuchs) shaking hands in a snowy landscape. They stand beside a sled dog team and a Tucker Sno-cat vehicle. A De Havilland DHC-2 Beaver flies low overhead. Four Ross Dependency stamps are at top right, and the envelope is stamped by Ross Dep. Scott Base.
The enveloped is addressed to a Miss E Wallace.
