Description

Flight Suit New Zealand Police Air Support Unit.

Part 1: Navy blue regulation flight suit jacket worn by the New Zealand Police Air Support Unit. The object is a made from a durable material and has a thick collar. A zipper runs through the centre of the object from the collar of the jacket down to the waistline. On the proper left, a patch with the New Zealand Police crest embroidered onto it next to the words “POLICE / AIR SUPPORT UNIT” has been sewn above the breast pocket. On the proper right, a large circular patch of Velcro has been adhered to the object. Two diagonal breast pockets can be found at the front of the object, angling inwards. The zipper closes towards the outer edge of the garment. Each of the shoulders on the suit has a shoulder strap which has been sewn onto the object at one end and secured with a dome at the other. On each of the sleeves, a patch with the New Zealand Coat of Arms and “NEW ZEALAND / POLICE” embroidered on it has been sewn to the garment. The cuff of the sleeves is adjustable and secured with a Velcro strap which ban be tightened or loosened to fit the wearer. On the proper left sleeve is a bellowed utility pocket with a flap covering the zipper. On the outside is a long, thin, open pocket.

Inside the suit on the collar is a is a maroon label with “MOJO / WORKWEAR” embroidered in navy and white. Below this are two white fabric tags. The larger of the two is embroidered in black and white and reads “FLAME RESISTANT FABRICS / Westex / UltraSoft® / CLEAN GARMENT THOROUGHLY / SEE REVERSE SIDE / 88% COTTON/2% NYLON / CLEAN GARMENT THOROUGHLY DETERGENT ONLY/DRTY CLEANABLE / WASH UP TO 165oF(74oC) / NO CHLORING BLEACH OR / HYDROGEN PEROXIDE EITHER / SEPERATELY OR IN DETERGENTS / NO SOFTENERS OT STARCH / FAILURE TO LAUNDER PROPERLY / COULD ADVERSELY AFFECT THE FLAME / RESISTANCE OF THE FABRIC / SEE COMPLETE CLEANING GUIDE / AT WESTEX.COM”. Part 2: Navy blue regulation flight trousers worn by the New Zealand Police Air Support Unit. The object is a made from a thick, durable material. Around the waistline of the pants, there are belt loops at regular intervals and below this, there are two diagonal open topped side pockets. The pants have a zipper and button at their front. On both thighs of the thighs, there is a pocket with a top zipper that closes towards the inseam. The pocket on the proper right thigh has been embroidered with the words “MOJO / WORKWEAR” in blue thread. Near the cuff of the pants, on the outer side of the leg, there are two lower leg pockets with top zippers that open toward the inseam and an open topped thin pocket. At the bottom of the suit, on each of the legs, is a zipper expansion opening with a curtain.

Inside the waistline of the pants there is a maroon label with “MOJO / WORKWEAR” embroidered in navy and white. Below this are two white fabric tags.
