Avalex 17 inch Display Unit.

Black metal monitor with glass screen. At the top left of the object, above the screen, “AVALEX” is engraved. On the right side of the monitor there are a series of buttons running down the side of the screen. Each button in labelled in white printed text corresponding with its function “PWR / MAP / VID / FR/Z / [up arrow] / [down arrow]”.

At the back of the monitor there is a protruding box accommodating the system. In this, there are a series of connection points labelled in white text that has been printed onto the object reading “J4 / VID 3 / J5 / VID OUT / J2 / VID1 / J3 / VID2 / J7 / VGA2 / J6 / VGA1 / J8 / VGA OUT / J1 / PWR”. In the top left corner, there is a white sticker with black printed text reading “AVALEX / TECHNOLOGIES / PENSACOLA. FL / USA 32502 / DESC: Display, 17” NVG, Rev B / PN: / AVM4170N / SN: 071007N131 SW: 2.30; 2.22; 4.01.” Underneath this another sticker has been attached; a warning is printed in black ink reading “CAUTION / SENSITIVE ELECTRICTRONIC DEVICES / DO NOT OPEN EXCEPT AT / APPROVED FIELD FORCE / PROTECTIVE WORK STATION”. A series of holes to allow for cooling of the system are located to the right and a fan is visible underneath. A synthetic mat has been fixed to the monitor with screws and sits around the casing for the internal components of the system. Blue tape has been attached to the back of the monitor on the right.
