First day cover and insert released in conjunction with the republication of Jean Batten's book 'My life' renamed 'Alone in the sky'. On envelope is an image of Jean Batten in flying gear and a Kawau Island 20c stamp. On accompanying insert is biographical information with illustrations of two of her aircraft the DH60 Gipsy Moth G-AARB and Percival Gull G-ADPR. First day of issue November 24th 1979. Three copies. All signed by Jean Batten.
