Description
Aircraft Gun Camera (World War II) - US Navy G.S.A.P. 16 mm camera - 1942. Plate information: U.S. Navy - BU. of ORD. G.S.A.P. Camera 16 mm. VOHS 24 Type N-4A. Inspector: H.T.H. No.29785 - 1942. Camera has been fitted with a pistol grip handle with trigger switch and extension cord with 2-pin socket on end (amateur looking job). Film magazine - "Magazine, Film type AN-A-5 Spec. No. 75-178-A with reload record chart on side. "This magazine is the property of the US Government - Made in USA by Eastman Kodak Co., Rochester N.Y." Note: Attachment of pistol grip "amateurish". There appears to have been an attempt to convert camera to portable movie camera.
