Description
Shear Edge Catamaran, a twin hull boat made from Keravos. The catamaran is grey, and has a red decal sticker, "FATCAT" and a black decal sticker, "SHEAR / EDGE" on each side of the catamaran.
The interior of the catamaran has two areas of stowage at the front, with a black decal sticker printed above, "Innovate with nature". Three wooden boards cover the floor. A black strap and buckle is placed at the top of the centre board. Two drains run down the length of the catamaran, placed in between the wooden boards, and exit at the stern, with the exterior holes covered with a textile pipe. The rear of the catamaran has two footholds, and an area for an outboard motor to be attached.
On each gunwale of the catamaran are two handrails and two fishing rod holders. "OCEANSOUTH / AUSTRALIA" is embossed on each of the four holders.
At the bow is further storage, covered by two metal doors, secured with an elastic. A black bung is within. At the tip of the bow is a black cleat, and a metal and black plastic pulley.

Brief History
In 2019, New Zealand innovator Logan Williams invented a method of combining sheep’s wool with cornstarch polymers to create Keravos pellets. These pellets can then be used in place of conventional synthetic plastic pellets to manufacture a range of products. The introduction of strong wool makes the resulting products stronger, stiffer, lighter and more sustainable.
This FatCat catamaran, made in Auckland using Keravos, is understood to be the world’s first woollen catamaran.
