Description
Kodak Microfiche Viewer.
Part 1: Brown leather case for microfiche viewer. The case has a flap at the top with Velcro on its underside to secure it to another piece of Velcro on the body of the case. At the back a strap has been adhered.
Part 2: Microfiche viewer comprised of two plastic slates screwed together at one end. The slats can be separated to accommodate sheets of microfiche. At the top of the object there is a black piece of fabric which rotates around the lens fixture at the free end of the viewer. The lens protrudes from the object and can be rotated to adjust the focus of the magnification. The lens is constructed from glass and magnifies the microfiche when inserted between the slats.
At the back, a large magnet has been adhered to the object. A circular hole with a white screen over it can be found at the end under the magnifying lens. At the opposite end, a white sticker with "456-113 / MADE IN U.S.A." printed in black onto it has been adhered.
Part 3: Red plastic lens cap for microfiche viewer. "CAPLUGS / BUFFALO N.Y. / 1/2 SC" has been embossed onto the top of the cap.
