Sculpture, comprising various railway engine parts. LOCOMOTIF is a collection of found rail items which come from decommissioned New Zealand Railways trains and tracks. The sculpture includes boiler tubes from a steam locomotive, a group of cast aluminium number plates, a smoke box door plate off steam locomotive Ja 1242, the cab plate off Ja 1250, and a plate from the under frame of Carriage A 1158. Other elements include springs, whistles, wheels and lights. There is also a switch lock lever used for changing the points and redirecting the route of the train.
