Description
Rubber stamps - set in a wooden case. Large rectangular wooden case with several compartments which holds stamps of different denominations. Most of the stamps are in fractional numbers and some are marked "D" (for pence). Some stamps, however, are whole numbers. There are 90 stamps in all. In the centre of the box is a square dug-out which holds 2 flat "Inkman" Opaque Ink and Pads from P.A. Inkman Company. A red paper label gives user instructions on one of the pads. A dark blue glass ink bottle has a badly torn white label which is only partially legible. From what little is legible, however, it appears that the same manufacturer has supplied the ink, i.e. P.A. Inkman Company. The lid is wooden and has a groove on each side which fits into and slides over the ridges on the sides of the main box.
