Brief History
Trolleybus No.50 was a suburban Auckland trolleybus which operated throughout the city as replacements to the tram system. It was one of the first fleet of replacement buses used in Auckland.

Assembled from a kitset imported from England, No.55 was put together by staff from the Auckland Transport Boards Royal Oak workshop. It was operated by the Auckland Transport Board, and later the Auckland Regional Authority.

No. 55 remains the last of its original fleet.
