Description
Electric range - McClary's 1925 approximately. Believed to be the first electric range sold by Franklin Electric Power Board in Pukekohe. McClary's electric stove. Steel, enamelled, grey black and white, with chrome legs, brackets, handle, facing and controls. 4 legs. The oven has a single, drop opening door and there are 3 hot-plates; the 2 at the front.
Controls for operation are set along the front of the hot-plates and there are 5 - each is raised with 4 positions [Off; Low; Medium; High] and a pointer switch. There is a power supply socket and an On/Off switch at the outside end of the controls. Temperature gauge embedded into the door "warm/hot/very hot.
