Description

A framed black and white print of Jean Batten. She is pictured standing by a painting of her plane, the Percival Gull, and a vignette portrait of herself. Photograph was taken at the official opening of the National Bank of New Zealand in Jean Batten Place, Auckland City. This work was gifted by the photographer John Rykenberg to MOTAT. Includes a printed page adhered to the back of the frame with information on the photograph.
