Description

An early differential from a Ford Model T that has been sectioned and painted for display. Consisting of a crown and pinion inside half the differential case, painted silver; drive shafts and half shafts, painted blue, which have been truncated.

The differential revolutionized the motor car in that it allows wheels on the same axle to turn at different speeds.
