Meccano No.1 Crystal Radio Receiving Set, with a wood base, wooden rounded coil, metal tuner bars.

Brief History

These “non-constructional” Meccano crystal radio sets were produced in England in 1922 in a hurry to comply with BBC radio licensing requirements. A year later in 1923 they had ceased production.
