Description
Strowger - Keith Line type. Grey metal frame with glass panels. electrical components and wires mounted to wooden base, light bulb sockets at top of unit, loose metal door/panel with glass window rests on top of unit. Has separate unit mounted on top, running right across the case, but only one board deep - a connection board. Opening from both sides via full-length double glass doors - each door has "52,000" painted on its top. The sides have "024B" written on them; one side has a wooden panel marked 'Emergency Control' - 2 conventional light switches remain. Such equipment installed in Auckland/Christchurch in 1919. This particular unit transferred to Wanganui 1925. Rotary Exchange Hardware.
