Description
Paper punch - 'Pre V Dex. Precision Index'. Black, crinkle-finish steel; on a varnished wooden base. Punch mechanism off-set to one end; activated by a flap that folds down and applies leverage to the steel punch-pins. 4 pins, each with its own spring - a space at the bottom of the mechanism for the insertion of the paper.
On the bottom of the wooden base, at the punch end, is a steel slide grooved into the base which acts to trap the debris - this can be releaed by withdrawing the slide. A small slide is cut into the top of the base at the other end, although for unclear purpose.
Manufacturer: "PRE-V-DEX / PRECISION / VISIBLE / INDEX" stamped on the flap.
