Description
-1 Case - Red, riveted with corner protectors. Folding 'grab' handle on top and aluminium name-plate. Deep top opens to expose the mechanism on the shallow bottom; for access/removal. 2 clips for securement.
-2 Regulatory Mechanism - steel and aluminium; chrome and polished; mounted on a tray; plastic hoses. Clamp for oxygen bottle, lying lengthways - bottle replaceable, not present. 2 towers at one end; one for vacuum adjustment of pulse, the other for direct control of flow via a top-mounted knob monitored through a gauge. The device to transfer the gas to the patient sits on a hollow tube adjacent to the towers; can be detached for use, oxygen being delivered through a black hose; the device has a sliding volume control.
"Minuteman Resuscitator" on a red name-plate situated on a connection trestle in the middle of the mechanism. It appears that some hoses are missing. Serial No.BP 3042.
-3=4 Face Masks (2) - rubber and plastic; clear plastic body with a rubber contact cushion at patient's end - wire rubber tube at the other. Stored when not in use on 2 hollow tubes at the opposite end of the control towers. One small, one large.
-5 Inflation Bag - rubber/plastic: black, elongated; 4-sided - wire opening at one end; short tube at the other albeit closed, with a ring for attachment.
-6=9 Mouth tubes (4) - for non-critical oral introduction. Plastic with a steel insert for connection to the oxygen source - held in the patient's teeth. The inter-oral section is in the shape of a gentle curve. Each a different size - small through to large.
-10 Key - steel; chromed, multi-purpose; for maintenance/adjustment.
