Description
Christening gown. Made from cotton. Broderie Anglaise scalloped trim at neck with a leaf and floral pattern. Fabric for entire garment has a subtle striped pattern. Yoke has a vertical panel of Broderie Anglaise in centre, with 2 pin tucks to either side with a Broderie Anglaise trim. Long sleeves with a gathered cuff and a wide lace frill trim. Skirt has a triangular insert with the apex at the waist. It consists of 6 panels of horizontal Broderie Anglaise and 6 panels of pin tucking. Trimmed with scalloped Broderie Anglaise at sides and base. Scalloped Broderie Anglaise trim at hem of skirt. Closure is 2 drawstrings at neck and waist and a single linen button.
