There was nothing formal (sic) about this photograph! - I had just completed dressing the two mannequins (sic) when John Malcolm (Chairman of the Management Committee) called in with a camera. Later I took the mannequins over to the Hillary home in Remuera where Ed's (1st) wife went into the house - found and presented to me that scarf! - (I hope it hasn't been lost - or stolen. In time it ill; be priceless!) she knitted (sic) it while he was traversing the ice! H.W. Stone (signed) Label
