Colour portrait of head and shoulders of Jean Batten. Portrait is done in pastels. Depicts Batten wearing a flight helmet and goggles, and a blue, white and red scarf. Portrait is signed and dated in the lower right hand corner. Pisani, 18-11-1937. Portrait has brown matting.
Affixed to the matting is a label for the Royal Airforce Museum, London:
