Description
Part of a Dirigible (aircraft) shot down over London during World War I by "Mac" McGregor. 2 bits of melted aluminium wrapped and fused around wire cables. The wires have a loop at one end and a hook at the other. They were possibly in a set of scales configuration, under tension. The wire cables have been bound very carefully with fine wire for a greater part of their length. It is obvious that the item has been subjected to great heat.
