Typed notice on white paper. Title, which is underlined, reads: NEW YEAR HONOURS 1943. CITATION TO ACCOMPANY THE AWARD OF OFFICER OF THE ORDER OF THE BRITISH EMPIRE. NZ 1077 WING COMMANDER ESMOND ALLEN GIBSON. Two typed paragraphs following the heading, detail the accomplishments of Gibson. The citation is in a cream-coloured frame with brown trim. Citation is laminated, possibly a copy of the original.
