Description
Air force jacket, navy blue wool with royal blue denim lining and facing, fitted to the waist. The neckline of the jacket consists of a collar and a lapel on each side which creates a V-neck shape. There are 5 black buttons on the right side of the front edge. There are 5 corresponding button holes on the left side. The button holes are on a royal blue denim lining so that they are hidden from the outside. There is a breast pocket on either side of the jacket. The pockets are pleated and each has a cover flap with a button and button hole on denim lining hidden inside. Above the left breast pocket is a badge and a medal bar. The badge, which is above the bar, consists of a brown laurel wreath with the letter 'N' embroidered inside it. To its right is a wing. The badge was worn by navigators in World War II. The medal bar consists of a navy blue, red and light blue vertical stripes. The bar corresponds to the 1939-45 Star. There is a strap at the waistline on the left side of the jacket
