Description
Wooden plaque, shield-shaped with a round, raised, central plateau with an open scroll underneath. Inner circle is a gold shell with gold wings on either side. This inner circle is bordered with a thin, gold perimeter. Around this, is another circular strip of sky blue followed around with a gold border. Printed in gold lettering on the sky blue background is: AIR GUNNERS ASSOCIATION ROYAL AIR FORCE. The Latin wording on the scroll is: VIGILANTIA ET VIRTUTE.
On the back of the plaque is a recessed plastic fitting for hanging the shield.
