Description
The badge has a background of black felt. At the centre is a circular crest. It depicts a red, maple leaf with #12 embroidered on it in cream, and the letters "RNZAF". "SFTS" embroidered in blue on a cream background. There is a grey felt border with cream stitching. Embroidered in yellow, inside the border, is "AIR CREW / PILOT". Directly above the crest is a red and yellow crown. Flanking the crest, is a pair of embroidered yellow wings. Below the crest is a red embroidered scroll with "BRANDON" embroidered in it in yellow. On the reverse is a cream-coloured cotton backing. There is a blue thread visible on the backing.
