Description
Gold-plated badge, circular shape, with a scroll base and a crown on top of the round. The centre is a creamy white ceramic with a blue, 8-pointed star in the middle. There is a golden arrow entering at one o'clock and exiting at seven o'clock. A teal blue border surrounds the whitish centre. Printed in gold lettering on the blue border is: GROUP HEADQUARTERS 8 ROYAL AIR FORCE 8. Written on the gold scroll under the disc is a motto: WE GUIDE TO STRIKE. The crown on the top of the disc is gold with red and blue. There is an arch on top of the crown and this arch has a hole in it. The fabric ribbon is threaded through the arch gold ring.
