Description
Dalton computer (aircraft navigational computer), double-sided, in a black, plastic and metal casing. On one side is a red and white chart with numbers on it. Surrounding the chart, is a metal dial with degrees and North indicated on it. The dial is adjustable. The chart has a clear, plastic facing. True Course and Drift are indicated on the metal casing above the dial. Markings have been made on the casing, but are not legible. On one side is a black, plastic trough running the length of the computer. On the other side is a black dial which adjusts the red and white chart. On the reverse is an adjustable dial and stationary number scale. The side can measure air temperature, height, miles, minutes and true altitude. This side of the computer is labelled I.C.A.N. CALIBRATION and there are instructions for airspeed and height corrections. Metal plates on each side are attached to plastic casing with metal screws. Used to calculate compass courses, ground speeds and ETA.
