Description
Cap - Air Force Officer's cap. Blue/grey wool, flat-topped cap with wool covered peak. The brim is also wool and there is a woven black fabric band around the brim. This band could be canvas. The cap is lined inside with a blue, denim cotton. Inside the brim is a brown, leather headband. A thin, patent leather strap is dome-fastened to the black band around the brim. This strap is sighted over the cap peak. The central badge above the cap peak has 3 parts. The top embroidered badge is a metal and wool crown. The crown has gold metal with a red centre. Below the crown is a golden eagle in flight. Below the golden eagle are gold, fern leaves. The fern leaves are embroidered with fine gold wire.
